Privacy policy
This policy covers the KICKSHIFT mobile game and this support website. The developer and controller is Mahie Rahman. Contact: support@prismbreaker.com.
Your choices
Core gameplay works as a guest and offline. Apple sign-in is optional. KICKSHIFT configures Unity Ads for non-personalised, non-behavioural advertising, with consent declined and applicable opt-out signals enabled. The app does not request access to Apple’s advertising identifier (IDFA). This does not mean the advertising service collects no data.
Android test build
The current Android test build stores gameplay progress and settings on your device. It does not include account sign-in, cloud save uploads, advertising or in-app purchases. It can read the public leaderboard when online. Removing the app may erase its local progress; it cannot restore an iPhone account save yet. The account, advertising and purchase features described below apply to the iPhone version where available.
Information used by the game
| Information | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Apple sign-in identifier, game account identifier, and email or Apple private relay address | Authenticate your optional account, keep accounts separate and provide account services. |
| Chosen player name, verified height and recorded gameplay inputs, seed and run timing | Display the public leaderboard, validate runs and retry offline submissions. Your leaderboard name and height are public; your email and sign-in credentials are not displayed. |
| Coin balance, earned/spent counters, upgrades, owned/selected characters and save revisions | Save locally and, when signed in, back up and merge progress across installations. |
| Purchase entitlement, transaction verification information and complimentary ad-removal status where applicable | Provide and restore Remove Ads and handle entitlement changes. Apple processes payments; we do not receive your full card details. |
| App settings and device-local save/session identifiers | Remember sound, music, haptics and motion settings, protect sign-in sessions and prevent duplicate save credits. |
| Support emails and attachments you choose to send | Investigate problems and respond to your request. |
Unity Ads
The iPhone version of KICKSHIFT uses the Unity Ads SDK to show interstitial and optional rewarded ads. Unity may process IP address and approximate location, device and SDK identifiers, language, device model, operating system, connection details, ad impressions and interactions, app usage, purchase-related signals and performance information. These support ad delivery, reporting, fraud prevention and operation of the service. An ad report you send to Unity may also include support information.
The app sends Unity declined personalisation consent, opt-out and non-behavioural signals. It does not send your game account email or leaderboard name to Unity. Apple tracking permission would be required before enabling cross-company tracking or IDFA access; the current game does not request that permission or enable that advertising mode. Unity’s own notices explain its processing and any additional choices available in an ad: Unity’s game player and app user privacy policy.
The optional Remove Ads purchase, or a complimentary account entitlement, disables the game’s advertising placements. It does not delete data previously held by Unity. Where shown, the Data Privacy icon in a Unity ad provides access to Unity’s privacy information and requests concerning your data, including access and deletion. You can also use the contact routes in Unity’s policy.
Services, sharing and transfers
Supabase provides authentication, account storage and run validation for KICKSHIFT. The project is hosted in the London region; service providers and their subprocessors may process operational data in other countries. Apple provides Sign in with Apple, App Store purchases and distribution. Unity operates the advertising service. Providers receive information needed for their roles; their own policies also apply. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect the service against fraud or abuse.
We do not provide player email addresses or gameplay journals to advertisers for personalisation. We do not sell player account data. Our service providers may have their own legal obligations and retention practices.
Why we process information
We use account and game data to provide the features you request. We use necessary operational, security and limited advertising data for legitimate interests in running, protecting and funding the game, subject to applicable law and your rights. We rely on consent where required and comply with legal obligations. Optional sign-in and support requests are initiated by you; you can play the core game without an account.
Storage and retention
Local progress remains on your device until it is cleared or the app is removed, subject to iOS storage and backup behaviour. Account saves and leaderboard records are retained while needed to provide your account and requested game features. You can request account deletion in the app. Operational, fraud-prevention, support, backup and legally required records may remain for the limited period needed for those purposes. Apple and Unity manage their own service records under their policies.
Signing out does not erase local progress. Deleting a game account removes its active account records and associated cloud saves, leaderboard entries and recorded runs. This device also removes that account’s sign-in information, cached profile, pending run uploads and account-linked save records. Coins, upgrades, owned characters, the device best and settings remain on this device without the deleted account link. Deletion does not cancel an Apple purchase or delete Apple/Unity records.
Your rights and account deletion
After deleting your game account, separately remove KICKSHIFT from Sign in with Apple in your Apple Account settings. The game cannot revoke that Apple authorisation automatically. Follow Apple’s instructions for managing Sign in with Apple. You can still play as a guest.
Open the player menu and choose account deletion to delete your signed-in game account. You may also contact support@prismbreaker.com to request access, correction, deletion or a copy of your personal information, or to object to or restrict processing. We may need to verify account ownership. Where applicable, you may withdraw consent and complain to your local data protection authority, including the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful beforehand.
Children
KICKSHIFT is a general-audience game and is not primarily directed at children. Do not submit personal details you are not permitted to share. If you believe a child has provided personal information contrary to applicable requirements, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
